How do I create a shortcut to an item in my site?

Shortcuts are often used in place of subdomains since they are a lot quicker and easier to manage.  Here's how to add shortcuts to items in your site:

  1. Open the page you want to assign a shortcut to
  2. Click the Show/Hide options button Show/Hide Options button
  3. Enter the desired shortcut value into the Shortcut field (only letters, numbers, and underscores can be used in the shortcut field; be sure to keep your shortcuts easy to spell and easy to rememberl;  since they become a part of the URL of the page, shortcuts are not case sensitive - entering them in all lower case is fine)

This page now has the address yourdomain.com/shortcutname
  4. Save and Exit
**Note - Shortcuts can not be duplicated within any manager.  If you want to use shortcuts in managers other than the Pages manager, you will need to enter a shortcut on the Manager Setting tab of each manager in order for the shortcuts to the items within that manager to work (i.e. yourdomain.com/managershortcut/itemshortcut).

See Pages manager > Add New Page > Shortcut for a full explanation of the shortcut capabilities.
